6/22/2023 0 Comments The elder scrolls vi platformsSo once Starfield is out, we will have a pretty good idea of how good The Elder Scrolls 6 will look. Winner of more than 200 Game of the Year Awards, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the epic fantasy from Bethesda Game Studios, arrives for the Nintendo Switch. It’s currently in design stage and is the same engine that Starfield is built on. As such, if the FTC is demanding that more clarification regarding exclusivity be shared by Xbox on this front, The Elder Scrolls VI will be the big title that the FTC likely wants more context about. The Elder Scrolls 6 is built on Creation Engine 2, as confirmed by Todd Howard himself. Outside of Starfield, The Elder Scrolls VI is likely the biggest release on the horizon that falls under the ZeniMax umbrella. So how does this tie in with The Elder Scrolls VI? Well, it stands to reason that if Xbox does end up meeting this request of the FTC, then new details associated with The Elder Scrolls VI and the platforms it will release upon would come to light. Essentially, if Microsoft outlines more of what it has in store with titles that belong to Bethesda, this will help inform the decision that the FTC will ultimately make in regard to passing or denying the Activision Blizzard purchase. The FTC is making this request as part of the ongoing investigation into Microsoft and its ongoing attempt to purchase Activision Blizzard. While the existence of The Elder Scrolls 6 has been confirmed, it looks like weve got a long wait on our hands. The Bethesda acquisition means tons of new first-party titles for the Xbox platform. The only strangeness when it comes to The Elder Scrolls 6’s development is that there was a teaser trailer for the game released in 2018 despite the fact that Bethesda developers have always planned to release the game after Starfield.Based on a new discovery by Axios reporter Stephen Totilo, the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) is requesting that Microsoft share more information about its exclusivity plans for titles that belong to ZeniMax, which is the parent company of Bethesda. The Elder Scrolls VI, Indiana Jones, and Starfield are all on the docket for Bethesda. AAA video games typically take many years to develop, and TES6 is no different. The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced much earlier than it normally would be, making it feel like it has been taking longer than it actually has. However, considering Microsoft now owns Bethesada, its likely that the game will at least be on PC and Xbox Series X/S. Though it wouldn’t fit with the look of the teaser trailer, the game could ultimately move in a different direction after being in development for years on end. Bethesda hasnt confirmed what platforms The Elder Scrolls 6 will support. And skyrim was the only time an elder scrolls game released multiplat day 1 and it was a shit show on. Elder scrolls 4 oblivion was one year exclusive to the xbox 360 and pc. Elder Scrolls 3 morrowind was an Xbox and PC exclusive, it never released on PlayStation. Black Marsh is the home of the Argonians and is largely made up of jungles and swampland which would make it quite different from other recent installments in the series. Elder scrolls was not always multiplatform. If not, Black Marsh is a strong candidate. Though this could technically be anywhere in Tamriel, High Rock is a mountainous region and highlighting that in the trailer makes sense. The Elder Scrolls VI hasn’t been confirmed for any specific platforms, but it will likely launch on the current generation of consoles, specifically the Xbox Series X/S, with the PlayStation 5. This is seemingly corroborated by the teaser trailer that was revealed in 2018, which shows a craggy area before the title art. One of the most popular theories revolves around a possible easter egg in the Starfield trailer, with a panel in the starship having some resemblance to High Rock and Hammerfell, leading some to speculate that the provinces might be revisited in TES6. This has led to rampant speculation over where TES6 might take place. Each of these regions have been visited to some degree in The Elder Scrolls Online, but while Valenwood is almost entirely included, only small portions of the Black Marsh have been explored. ![]() ![]() There are four areas that haven’t been explored since TES: Arenas, with those being Black Marsh, Summerset Isles, Valenwood, and Elsweyr.
